The simplest way to update your monthly contribution is to write us at Contributions@BetterPears.com with whatever adjustments or cancelations you require.

Since our audience contains those who will not settle for what is simple, you will also be given an option during the contribution process to select a password for your BetterPears account, if you do not already have one from a BetterPears Fellowship. Even if you decline this option at the time of initial contribution, you can update your password from the account login screen. Once you are in your account, click on the “Wallet” tab to update your current “Recurring Transactions”

Currently only FL, NH, NV, SD, UT, & WY have minted Goldback series. If you live in or near one of these state, you can add that state’s initials to the comment box at the bottom of the contribution form next to your “leaf” designation opting into the program. BetterPears will make reasonable efforts to send monthly Goldbacks from that state’s series, but supplies can be limited. The Oklahoma and Arizona Goldback series are coming later in 2025. We will add these series to our monthly Thank You mailings when they become available.

Unlike other crowdfunding opportunities hosted by large payment platforms, BetterPears has direct access to our payment gateway and can rectify your problems in short order. After all, BetterPears is about relationships, and that goes for our crowdfunding activities as well.

It is our goal to post all BetterPears Leaves envelopes by the Nones (5th or 7th) of each month, so that you receive it by the Ides (13th or 15th). We will send you an email letting you know when we post the envelopes. The email will also contain a description of how that month’s envelope will appear. We recommend using Informed Delivery®, a free service from the United States Postal Service, which sends you an email each morning with image scans of all mail that will be delivered that day.

In the case that your Goldback is not merely delayed but indeed lost, stolen, or otherwise intercepted on its way to you, we will gladly make a second attempt for that month. If that envelope is also intercepted, we will work with you to find a more suitable ongoing arrangement. Hurray prudence!

First of all, we can be excited that the Goldbacks that you have already received have retained their value relative to the dollar. Second, with annual inflation “baked” into the policy of the Federal Reserve, we will at some point need to adjust the minimum monthly contribution amount for receiving a monthly Goldback. At that time, we will allow our contributors to choose whether to continue their support at the higher level, continue at their present level without the monthly Goldback, or cancel their monthly contribution.

Yes, we are asking for your trust. The good news is that we trust people each day to stay on their side of the roadway, not poison our food, and refrain from unprovoked physical violence against us. If we break your trust, you are only out one month’s contribution until your financial institution goes to bat for you. We firmly intend not to break your trust as the whole basis of the BetterPears Leaves program is the reciprocation of giving and receiving in friendship.
